C值和变小的C/N值表明,东亚夏季风不断减弱,降水量逐渐减小,陆源有机质输入逐渐减少,但这些指标在1.5 cal ka BP开始受人类活动影响,近500年来影响较显著。早、晚全新世东亚夏季风变化趋势主要与岁差相关的北半球日照量相关,而在东亚夏季风整体变化趋势下,还存在千年-百年尺度的气候波动周期,与太阳活动强度和周期的相对应。
