South China Sea experiences remarkable changes in atmospheric thermal condition. The summer monsoon over South China Sea(SMSCS)
one of the most energetic weather events over the region
undoubtedly exerts its effect on the circulation over the other regions. In this paper
the influences of the SMSCS activity on the Northern Hemisphere general circulation are studied through the correlation and composite analysis. The evidences show the presence of a wave like teleconnection pattern connecting Eastern Asia and the western coast of North Pacific. It is interesting to note that the highest correlation locates in the subtropical high region of the West Pacific
which suggests that this teleconnection pattern may have profound impact on the drought and flood weather in China.
