The maximum tolerance dose in mice was determined intravenously
intraperitoneally and intragastrically respectively. The safety of DNA was investigated by means of hemogram analysis with automatic blood cell counter. The uric acid content was measured by means of sodium phosphate chromatography. The androgenic effect was investigated by means of weighing mice testis. The maximum tolerance doses (MTD) in mice are as follows: MTD=750 mg/kg;MTD=4 500 mg/kg;MTD>16 000 mg/kg. There were no evident effects on rat hemograms
neither on the uric acid content in rat blood plasma after 120 mg/(kg·d) of DNA had been administered to rat for 90 d. DNA from carp spermary had no androgenic effects.
