This paper deals with the influence of Hemiberlesia pitysophila Takagi on the needle growth of Pinus massoniana and the population dynamics of Hpitysophila. The results showed that the introduction and augmentative release can control Hpitysophila
and protect the needle growth of Pmassoniana. Mathematical models on the relationship between population density of Hemiberlesia pitysophila Takagi and branch length of Pinus massoniana were also established based on investigation data in various fields.
