摘要

图像的压缩编码是存储、处理和传输大容量的图像信息的基础，提高图像的压缩效率一直是人们不断追求的目标。对图像进行压缩编码，目前成熟的做法都是在变换域进行。在研究图像的多小波变换的基础上，提出了一种面向传输的图像编码方法：基于CL多小波变换的图像精细可分级编码。实验结果表明，该编码方法是对多小波应用于图像编码很有价值的研究。

Abstract

Image compression is the foundation for image storage

processing and transmission. Most researches are done in transform domain. A deep research on the application of multiwavelets transform in scalable coding is made

and then a new image coding method

which is Fine Granularity Scalable image coding method based on CL multiwavelet transform

is proposed.The experimental results show that the proposed coding method is effective. It is a valuable work on the application of multiwavelet transform in image coding.
