The electrocatalytic degradation of disruptors dimethyl phthalate (DMP)
using lacunary heteropolyanion PW
11
O
7-

as an indirect electrocatalyst
was investigated in this work. The results indicated that 96% of DMP degradation was obtained in less than 120 min in Na
2
SO
4-
NaHSO
4
solution (pH 2.5) containing 0.05 mmol·L
-1
DMP at the potential of -0.6 V and the O.2 flow rate of 60 mL min
-1
. A total organic carbon (TOC) removal reached 34% at 120 min. The DMP degradation reaction follows the pseudofirst order kinetic regime and the observed rate constants (k obs) related to the initial DMP concentration were determined to be 2.9×10
