The LMS(Liuxihe Model) is a complete distributed physicsbased hydrological model
which is used to simulate and analyze the income flood of the Baipenzhu Reservoir in Guangdong province. The model is set up with DEM of precision of 200 m
landuse and soiltype of precision of 1 km. The basin is divided into five different watercourses which contain 48 virtual reaches according to crunodes set artificially
and then different reaches are given different initial parameters. Based on these given parameters
three floods and 11 floods are used to adjust and validate these initial parameters
respectively. The results indicate that parameters adjusted are of physical-base.The LMS model can simulate the income flood of the Baipenzhu Reservoir well and has extensive applicability and huge potential for floods simulation.
