The criteria for publication in ACTA SCIENTIARUM NATURALIUM UNIVERSITATIS SUNYATSENI includes the originality and creativity of the research,significant scientific importance.

(1) The manuscript needs to have clear arguments, reliable data, and refined words. The length of each paper (including drawings, tables, abstracts, etc.) should be at about 8000~10000 words, except for articles reflecting important scientific and technological achievements. If the manuscript is in Chinese, it should include (in sequence): title, author's name, author's organization, abstract, keywords, Chinese book catalogue number, title in English, author's name in English, author’s organization in English, abstract in English, text, and reference. If the manuscript is in English, please attach Chinese title, author’s name and organization in Chinese, abstract in Chinese, Chinese keywords and book catalogue number to the article. At the anchor of the first page, please include: the fund that the research project belongs to, the identifier of the project, brief introduction of the first author (name, year of birth, gender, professional title, etc.), the name of corresponding author, E-mail address, and telephone number.

(2) Commonly, the English abstract should be consistent with the Chinese abstract. It should include: titles, author’s name, name of the organization, text of the abstract, and keywords. The text of the abstract should be able to reflect the research results shown in the paper.

(3) The wording of the manuscript must be standardized, and the unit used should conform to the national standards and international standards. The italic and case of foreign letters must be clearly expressed in the draft, and be consistent throughout the text. The positions of letters, numbers and symbols in upper or lower corners should be clearly distinguished.

(4) Only the most necessary drawings and tables should be attached to the manuscript. The drawings are required to be depicted by computer. Photographs can be black and white or colored, and should be distinct and coherent. Figures and symbols in the drawings must be identical with those in the text. When the lines in a drawing are complex, colored lines shall be used for clarity.

(5) Only major and recent references should be listed at the end of the article. Unpublished information should not be included, but can be indicated through footnotes. References must be indexed in the text.

(6) The manuscripts in Word are accepted for submission. We encourage authors in Mathematics and Physics to submit the manuscripts in LaTeX. Please submit all original source( including the original source (including all figure files) and a PDF version of the compiles output)  in .zip or .rar type file.  The LaTeX submissions also are welcome for the manuscripts involving complicated mathematical formulae in other subjects.

(7) If the incoming manuscript does not meet the requirements above, it will be returned to the author for revision before being submitted for a retrial. There is also probability that nonconforming manuscripts be rejected.

(8) To safeguard the copyright of the author, once submitted, requests to add or remove an author, or to rearrange the author names will not be accepted. Also, the name of the author’s organization will be irrevocable after submitted.

(9) The full text of this journal is included in Chinese Academic Journals (CD-ROM), and is incorporated into CNKI, Wanfang Database, VIP Database, and Superstar Journals Database. The author's remuneration (including remuneration for being included into databases and other media) will be paid by the journal once the printed version is published.

(10) The editorial department of the journal will make necessary textual modification and deletion for manuscripts. Once the manuscript is published, the remuneration will be paid accordingly, and samples will be sent to the author. The journal does not charge for reviewing the manuscript, but the publication fee is charged for publishing the paper, and those with colored chart will be charged additional cost according to the layout. From the first issue of 2018, we will adopt full color page printing. Those who have more than two pages of color pictures in the paper will only need to pay the same fee as two pages.

(11) After the publication, the author is requested to inform the editorial department if the paper is collected by any other journals or wins any awards.
