Crystallization and mechanical properties of PLA/micro-CaCO3 modified with different compatibilizers
In order to strength the interfacial effect of PLA/micro-CaCO
3
and improve the toughness of PLA
PLA/micro-CaCO
3
composites were prepared with POE-gMAH and EVA-g-MAH. The crystallization and mechanical properties of the PLA/micro-CaCO
3
composites modified with different compatibilizers were compared. DSC and XRD results suggest that the addition of POE-g-MAH remarkably improve the crystallization rate and crystallinity of PLA/micro-CaCO
3
composites. When the filling content of micro-CaCO
3
reach 40%
the crystallinity of PLA can be improved from 2.0% to 45.8%. While the addition of EVA-g-MAH has little effect on the crystallization of PLA/micro-CaCO
3
. Mechanical tests indicate that EVA-g-MAH has better effect than POE-g-MAH on toughing the PLA/micro-CaCO
