A new resource allocation algorithm

which could ensure the fairness and meet the demand that multiple users transmit multiple traffics simultaneously in OFDMA mobile communication system

is proposed.The algorithm is mainly based on the crosslayer design. It takes into consideration both the QoS requirements of services in the MAC layer and the channel status information in the physical layer

hence makes adaptive resource scheduling to make a tradeoff between the fairness and system capacity. Finally

the simulation results

show that the improved system has a higher capacity than the one not applying the trafficdiversity scheme. Besides

the proposed algorithm has an advantage on the performance of ensuing fairness compared with the one that based on the highest capacity.
