αPinene Induces Marine Fungus Aspergillus sp.to Produce Mycotoxin Penicillic Acid
which was isolated from soft coral Sarcophyton tortuosum
could produce mycotoxin penicillic acid with the yield of 55 mg/L in GPY medium containing glucose 10 g/L
peptone 5 g/L
yeast extract 2 g/L
sea water 1 L
at pH 7.5 Interestingly
while the GPY medium supplied with αpinene at a dose of 200 mg/L
the constitute and content of the metabolites of Aspergillus sp altered obviously Furthermore
the yield of penicillic acid in the culture broth increased dramatically from 5.5 mg/L in control group (GPY medium) to 29.15 mg/L in biotransformation group Based on the gas chromatography mass spectrometry analysis
the major biotransformed products of αpinene were characterized as oxygenated monoterpenoids
which were undergone further biodegradation This finding suggested that monoterpene substrate
αpinene could used to be an elicitor It can alter the oxidase activities
