The Impact on Mechanical Properties of Polypropylene Fiber Reinforced Cement with Different Incorporation Rate
Numuerical models of polypropylene fiber reinforced cement (PPRC) with different incorporation rate have been built to analyze PPRC material. With these models the fracture track
crack initiation
coalescence and development
interaction and final penetration have all been simulated. In the meantime
some basic issues during failure process
like spatiotemporal distribution of acoustic emission and precursor pattern of the failure have also been investigated. The results show that the toughness and the bending strength have been improved with increasing polypropylene fiber incorporation rate.
